Introduction
COMPOST: Gathering and processing our own wastes is a vital part of cycling nutrients to build the natural health of our farm. Among the elements of the composting system are winery waste (mostly grape skins and stems), tree chippings, green chop from our covercrops, the compost pile itself, solid and liquid compost (compost tea), and the redistribution of the materials by drip, sprayer, and spreader.
